Artist's Statement:
"My work appeals to a broad audience. There seems to be a common chord I strike resulting in the painting becoming a personal experience for the viewer. Viewers are attracted to the insightful imagery in my work. My work is about bringing balance, beauty and hope to an often chaotic and unorganized world.

The works are painted intuitively after a planning session where I will write my thoughts. Music is also important to me, and the musical influence results in a lyrical component to my paintings making the viewer feel as if they are drifting or dancing through the work. There is a quality of comfortable movement and mental action within my paintings.

After my recent solo exhibit at the Performing Arts Center in Tulsa, one patron wrote this note to me in the guest book, 'You’ve painted my life w/in(sic) your work.'"

The Clara database is no longer being updated. This database will be retained as an access point for our artist files. Artist profiles are now a featured component on the NMWA website. For artists who are not in our collection: we are in the process of creating a user-submitted registry that will be available by 2015. Thank you for your patience as we create new content to better serve researchers, members, and artists.
