"The art I create comes to me from many sources: from the vast conscious/unconscious, endless and eternal universe of mythology, and from the poetry of personal experience."
"I've always felt it to be important, as an artist and person, to grow with life and to have experiences different from the familiar ground I've grown up around. Travel ultimately has added richness to my paint palette, broadened the quality of line in my drawings, and brought depth to my sense of colour and overall feelings and imagination. these travel experiences allowed me to interact intellectually and creatively with other artists, dancers, writers and performers and their works."
